23”x29” (framed 33”x39”) Painted in 1994; purchased in 2008. The first of many works I would buy from Markus--some of which I will eventually get on here for sale. After I bought it, Markus wrote, "That is a great painting. I'm glad you got it. It sold almost immediately after I painted it. I think the title was "Vita". I don't sketch or do any prelims. I collect interesting elements and put them together (I would like to see this person in front of this wall with this kind of lighting) etc. I am very impatient and confident enough to just go for it. No sketches or anything. I just jump in and have faith something good will come out of it. And I don't give up till it does, which is usually the next day." In 2015, she was featured on page 133 of Markus' self-published book, Markus Rothkranz Paintings, where he wrote, "Thoughts may fade over time. But the unspoken energy created by our peace and beauty will ripple through eternity."
