Want to send a sincere thanks to my friend Simon for this! This commission is a gift to one that I got for him, which isn't even done yet. Simon strikes first! Amitoufu!

I have been commissioning Shaolin Cowboy over the last year or so and safe to say, picking Kyle Starks to do him was an outstanding choice. This is Shaolin Cowboy in full cartoon style and I can't get enough of it. In fact it is already framed and on display.

I am a huge fan of the series and Geof Darrow's work in general, but have come to figure out that I really like seeing other artist's takes on the character. Darrow created a unique character to begin with and as with this piece, the end result is way too much fun!

Bravo, Simon! This is an outstanding choice and I love it. Big thanks again to you and to Kyle Starks!

In closing, I would like to recognize one other friend and fellow CAF collector that has nothing to do with this piece, and that is Jason D'Ambrosio. His overall knowledge in the hobby and taste in art is just as unstoppable as the Shaolin Cowboy himself. He is one of the most avid X-Men collectors out there. Put it this way, if Jason is Professor Charles Xavier, I am just an adolescent Scott Summers consulting the Professor on who I should ask to this spring's Hellfire Gala.

Wait, if you're a young Cyclops and Jason is Professor X, does that mean when you grow up you'll be possessed by the Phoenix Force and (gulp) eliminate him?  Even if the answer is "yes," Jason will come back and always wear a funky helmet on an island nation he creates.

I used to own the fried Professor page... it made me said so I rehomed it ..

I think I've read pretty much every book Kyle Starks has ever produced. This whimsical Shaolin Cowboy piece perfectly encapsulates everything I love about his work. Congrats, Tyler.

Fun piece, T, mixing a violent scene with a cartoony animated style!

And the Jason part of the description, a Transformers line came to mind - "more than meets they eye" :)
