DescriptionThe Titans get laid low by Brother Blood in his first appearance! This cover also kinda features the 1st app of the Night Force, although that was a separate feature in the back. And if the 1st Brother Blood & Night Force weren't enough, this issues features the 1st appearance of the Monitor (in shadow), kicking off what would become Crisis on Infinite Earths! A lot of firsts in this one. Social/Sharing |

Spectacular and memorable cover from an issue that really upped the stakes for the New Teen Titans.
P.S. My copy of NTT #21 doesn't have the "Night Watch" feature in the back but it does have a great preview for "Night Force" by Wolfman and Colan.

Fixed it. If I had a No-Prize, I'd give it to you.

Superb George Perez Titans cover! I love the way Robin, Wonder Girl, Raven and Kid Flash are all being carried on the arms of the mob in the foreground while Brother Blood is silhouetted at the top of the staircase exhorting his followers! It's always amazing to me how Perez handles scenes like this including oodles of characters with ease.

My favorite team book artist for DC -nobody drew groups of people/hereos better than George.

That Brother Blood concert is wild! The Titans crowd surfing all passed out from the brown acid.

Wasn't reading DC at the time, but I remember this cover made me give that one a flip-through at my comic shop.

The new Teen Titans really got into overdrive here... And George Perez broke through the ceiling as well... What a glorious moment in the history of comics!

A very memorable cover, Dan. From a nostalgic time when X-Men & New Teen Titans were my must read monthlies.

Not sure how I missed this one. Amazing cover! I love that all the characters in the foreground are drawn....the ones on the steps are half black ink...and the main villain is all ink. It really draws the eye up and down the page and makes it clear where the danger lies.
Congrats, Dan!

Pure vintage goodness, with that powerful image surrounded by all the lettering! Good choice to have the main baddie fully shadowed in, too. Congrats!
