DescriptionWas excited to find this one and bring it into the McStarWars vault.Early OG Star Wars is getting rarer and rarer We jump into the middle of action. o Panel 1 - Han+Chewie are pinned down in a cave by Jabba's henchmen who they take out o Panel 2 - here we see a pre RotJ Jabba (with Derek Crabbe-like mutton chops!) - this is his first appearance outside the retelling of ep4 in issue 2. Also check the dialog, maybe this is the firsts use of SCUD in Star Wars? In Mando they are using it quite a bit (Skank in the Scud pie) o Panel 3- More Jaba o Panel 4 - zoom out to see Jabba's ship (not the falcon) Color images and back of the art with the 1979 stamp - this page is 44yrs old! Enjoy fellow OA SW fans! -McSCUD Social/Sharing |

Jabba, he has fought me well
Trap me with his henchmen
"Son, your life's a comic book"
"Don't close Millenium"
"The brightest claim will shoot first"
That's what I heard Gene say
A Han’s art owed to Jabba
But I must find a page
Get my Solo
Get by Wingo
Jabba, Carmine art show
Or, Mc this art be still

Ok, concept Jabba is cool, but that alien in the third panel with the leaf for a head, classic early Marvel alien! That and his chicken head buddy with the T-Rex arms. I love it!

Wow, Jabba really let himself go by the time ROTJ rolled around. Very cool to see this prototype Jabba page. So much fine detail work throughout the page. Stellar pick up!
