The roses on the coffin box have tilted to one side
The Lightning about this house is gonna go and die
Oh, it doesn't seem to scare Marlo to this very day
You said I'm sorry Kevin, if inks don't change the space
One can't face the other page
And love lies bleeding ink by hand
Oh, it kills me to think pencils with another man
I was buying art pencils and we were Legion fans
But my mylar couldn't hold good, so, I split tape band
Long Live Legion in my hands

Great page. I love the mix of emotions on the faces of cast.

An absolutely beautiful looking Legion piece, wow! West's pencils are nice and Alquiza did a very commendable job on them. There's one thing that is really bugging me though, but to be clear, it's story related. Would it REALLY be considered to be in good taste to shout out "Lightning Lad maybe dead but long live the Legion!"??? Especially as Saturn Girl stand there, psychologically crushed? And even if some one said that, would everyone else in the room throw their arms up in triumph and go along with it? It just comes off as incredibly callous, like "Yeah, yeah, Lightning Lad's dead, but who cares? The rest of us are still here!"
Again though, I love the image, especially with the camera tilt giving it more impact!

This was at th eend of the ceremony. They walked this coffin through the streets to the Legion HQ with the citizens all paying their respects and then laid him to rest in his resting place.
Then they proceed to kick ass on the retreating Invaders that took Garth's life. At the end of the issue Imra is appointed the new leader.

I know I can always count on you to fill in the holes for me, Miki! But, one of the most well known Legion members is killed off and his death came at the hands of some random "invaders"? I'm always the first person to complain about comic book "deaths" being lame because they always bring them back. But in this case, I'd absolutely want him back, along with any other character killed in a lame way. I mean seriously, as a publisher, if you're going to kill off beloved characters, at least give them and the fans the honor of going out nobly, at the hands of beloved villains. Can I assume he has since come back from this death?
