Splendid splash!
The Infantino Batman at in the 60's had spectacular covers and great interiors. This is a great splash. All of the signatures push this into stratosphere of must have. Congrats.
Another incredible piece of bat history. '60s Infantino is as good as it gets for me. Major congrats on a beautiful title splash page my friend!
A great piece of Silver Age DC that presents so well with those melodramatic expressions and body language!
FANTASTIC Batman title splash! And all those bonus signatures, along with that great pic of Joe Giella holding up the piece. You must be over the moon! A very special post, thanks so much for sharing.
A real Highlight in your awesome collection my friend. A piece full of history.
I've always enjoyed the stories behind the art, such a gem!! Thanks for sharing. I also like all the signatures, especially since they are not on the art.
You gotta love how th exquisite art is mixed with the lettering in these classic title splashes! Absolutely makes you wanna keep reading to see what happens! Huge congrats, Marc!
Holy hole in the Doughnut (Marc, You've Done It Again!).
Honestly, I have never met anyone more serious and especially focused about curating the perfect Batman collection than you.
Fantastic title splash by a group of legendary comic artists.
Huge congrats!
This page is amazing, I saw it in person at the exhibition. It is, in my opinion, in the top ten holy grails in Batman collecting.
Yeeeeaaaahhhhh!!! What a grail, and masterpiece of Batman comic art. Huge congrats
Congrats on a historical Batman page Marc! This is something else...
Stunning 1966 page one splash by Carmine Infantino and Joe Giella! Love this powerful image of Batman falling from a bullet, the gun that shot him still smoking as if falls to the ground, the assailant seemingly a ghost that is flying through the sky above him. Beautifully laid out splash, with gorgeous inks. It's just a great find from the Silver Age! Congrats!
Pure DC icons...great photo with the legend Joe G also
A wonderful page, from a great artistic pairing. And the backstory to the page and the signatures is wild. A great piece of history!
