Many were introduced to Heathcliff through the cartoon in the 80's which he also had Marmaduke. Voiced by Mel Blanc, a very agitated trouble maker personality, and shown on Saturdays, it was definitely more accessible than Garfield who was more aloof and shown in specials. Very nice two panel gag as it skips the action within the gutter and gives us the results.
