Description

This was a very unique opportunity offered to fans of both Marvel art but also Marvel cards . The prelim above was used in the process of creating one of the most coveted Marvel card sets from Upper Deck Marvel Exquisite . The cards were all painted by Ariel Olivetti and are simply some of the best looking inserts in the Marvel card game .

Now Ariel digitally painted all the art so physical specimens from the actual time period technically don�t exist . He decided in a one time only one copy only to recreate each digital painting with an actual acrylic and oil duplicate only differing with the visible yellowish brush strokes behind each hero/villain . Now I�ll wait to talk about the paintings more when mine is completed ( wink wink ).

Back to the pencil prelim. The way Ariel works is he digitally cleans up the pencil prelim . This way he avoids using erasers and they removes any blemish or unwanted spots or extra lines then prints it. He then finishes the drawing by going over the cleaned up digital printed file with pencil and this is result .

He offered only one painting and one prelim for the exquisite set. I added both to my PC. It�s such a classy card and set an I�m happy to have this . He stated they would never ever be reproduced and this is the only physical art that will exist for these cards .
