Carlos's rep announced they were going to begin making monoprints of Carlos's digital work and people who were interested could send a DM to reserve pages from any of his past work. I immediately sent a DM to reserve three pages that first came to mind when I was thinking of pages I'd read that Carlos worked on that I would want. Ended up picking up all three once the rep confirmed they were available and told me I was the first person to buy one of Carlos's Monoprints.
The first page was this amazing (no pun intended) half-splash featuring Mary Jane wearing the Spidey-Suit! I wrote a quick synopsis of the series and my feelings on it when I posted a
Dodson cover from this series here Essentially what's happening is MJ and Mysterio (disguised as a famous director) are filming a biopic centered on Mysterio himself. The rest of the Sinister Six hear about this and begin attacking the set to disrupt the movie. This causes the actor playing Spider-Man to quit out of fear. He had one scene left to shoot so MJ suits up to replace him for that last scene and calls Peter to tell him about it. Peter questions how that'll work but MJ says they could fix any "discrepancies" in post.
While I wasn't really big on monoprints/artists proof at first, after having
one for a while it grew on me, so I didn't mind getting a couple more. So really happy to add this page to my collection! Might have lost out on it if I had hesitated to reach out, the rep told me there were a line of people who tried to reserve this page after me.
