Description
So I still buy and collect comic books, the majority of which are based on the artist involved. Most of these feature art or covers by guys I've admired and followed for decades. Not many newer artists make me want to acquire their published work and follow their output closely. James Stokoe is an absolute exception to this. I think he is a supremely creative and original talent. His color sense and pallet are unique and an obvious strength of his work. I was just knocked out when my preorder of this book rolled into my shop. I hadn't seen the image yet and instantly fell in love. It was displayed with my Halloween comics this past October and I just kept stopping to gander at it. While for me, a huge draw in his work is the final stage, benefiting from his incredible colors, with this one, I DID want to chase the line art. And I am so damn glad that I did. The Victorian hostess. The shop of curiosities. Even a spinner rack. Just love it! Big time shout out & thank you to Andrew from Cadence Comic Art for his help in adding this to the collection. And to Mr. Stokoe... thanks for this and so many other wonderful images you have gifted us with.
