DescriptionStar Wars: The High Republic #2 Pg. 1Pencils by Ario Anindito. Written by Cavan Scott. 1st appearance of Terec and Ceret Exciting time for Star Wars as tons of Star Wars news dropped from Star Wars Celebration in London over the weekend, including more stories and comics upcoming in the High Republic era, which I've really been enjoying quite a bit on the publishing side of Lucasfilm. At NYCC 2022, I met up with Ario for the second time and picked up a few more pages from him from the Marvel Comics series Volume 1, including the first page of issue 2, which features the first appearances of the non-binary Jedi twins Terec and Ceret. Also Jedi Keeve Trennis and Jedi Master Skeer appear! I also picked up the inks on separate board at the same show from Mark Morales. It was great getting to see both of them at the show and add more Star Wars High Republic art to the collection. Social/Sharing |

I really dig Ario's pencils. He does a great job emoting with all the characters' faces here, especially in the bottom tier. As a blue pencil lover, I also really dig the monochromatic look the page gets because of it.

Although I am enjoying the heck out of the Disney+ offerings right now, I'm most looking forward to a time when the High Republic gets it's turn to hit the small or big screen. Our first little taste with The Acolyte can't get here soon enough. Great page, and double awesome to get the matched pencil/ink boards from Ario and Mark at the same time.

Agreed! The Acolyte is setting up to be amazing based on first impressions but trying to stay away from too many spoilers before they drop the first trailer - still I'm pretty excited. I've heard Vernestra Roh will show up in live action ! Also the "Young Jedi Adventures" kids cartoon is dropping sometime soon and that's High Republic as well (albeit a different intended audience for the material).
