Wow! I think Rude has really outdone himself here. I just love everything about this. The image, the mood & lighting, the character, the pose, the color palette, the technique and application of the medium. It's perfection on every level. And so powerful. I honestly feel like it's one of the best things I've ever seen from him. Easily my favorite in recent memory. Great eye buddy!

Beautiful moment captured in time. Serenity mixed with regret and a bit of longing or sadness, really well done painting. Great piece done really well.

Transporter shots were one of the best special effects of ST TOS beside Spock's ears and making Clint Howard look like a baby. Tranya anyone? Rude captures the magic with Kirk beaming down to get his captain's log on, putting the Corbomite manuever on Shahna and going where no man has gone before.

"To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before!" He has found himself in a bold pose that looks amazing.

The Dude is just so fabulous. How can you not love the technique he used to show that Kirk is beginning the process of beaming up?! So simple, yet very effective!

Oh, my good heavens... Has there ever been a more fantastic or imaginative application of paint spatter than this? I'm hard pressed to think of one... Gorgeous likeness of the Captain, and his posture with the shadows and muted background color behind is such an interesting choice; it makes the moment feel like a more reflective one, rather than an "Energize!"-d call to arms. Gorgeous Rude, Rick! Sincere congrats!
