Description

Darth Vader teaming up with Padmé’s former handmaiden, Sabé. Doctor Aphra finding a Sith artifact -- and becoming possessed by its dark energy. Qi’ra leading Crimson Dawn into a head-on conflict with the Empire. A lot happened in Marvel's Star Wars titles in 2022. A year end one shot, Revelations is a Darth Vader-starring tale that sets the stage for what's to come throughout 2023. Darth Vader seeks out The Eye of Webbish Bog on Mustafar, a mysterious creature strong with the Force. The Eye, through the Force, recounts all of the seemingly disparate threads of last year's story arcs and weaves them before Vader into a singular tapestry while pointing to the future of Marvel's Star Wars line.

This double page spread is from the portion of the book recapping the shenanigans of the Spark Eternal which has taken over Doctor Aphra, while Aphra fights for control of her own body from within. Trust me, there would be a whole thesis needed to outline what the previous statement actually means. Right? Like, what is the Spark Eternal? Too much to recap here unfortunately. Anyway, this issue implies that the Spark conspires to use whatever lies inside the Fermata Cage for their own designs. If you are intrigued, go catch up on volume 2 of Doctor Aphra.

Faucher inks over Kubert blue lines. Man, I like the lines this third generation of Kuberts is laying down, hope to one day get some original Emma art to go with these superb boards by inking journeyman Wayne Faucher.
