Description
Nothing better than dealing with friends on a great piece of art. Dinner with Steve Davich at Club Lago in Chicago normally yields just the pleasure of his company..and a great dinner. This time? We added an Aparo Aquaman title splash into the mix - what an embarrassment of riches! Thanks, Steve!

You are very welcome Chris. I had the page long enough and I'm glad you can enjoy it now.

Wow!  So what other pages does Steve have that he thinks he's had long enough?  LOL!  Anyway, congrats on this spectacular Aparo example.  To my mind, Jim has three signature characters.  Aquaman, Batman, and Spectre.  To acquire a notable splash of any one of these characters is a dream come true for any Aparo fan.  And this is such a quintessential DC splash.  Right down to the title carved into the sea bedrock.  The King of the Seven Seas has never looked better.  So jealous, and so happy for you.  (Oh, and feel free to let me know when you think you've had this long enough.  LOL)

You always ask the right question! And we certainly agree on Mr. Aparo's three signature characters - I especially like when he's able to draw them together. And good to know who to call when I've had this one long enough!

Peak Aparo era.  He reached new heights (in this case depths) with his artistry in this time period and could do no wrong.

My second issue of Adventure Comics!  Is it any wonder that I fell in love with Aparo artwork with splashes like this one along with all his B&B work?!?

There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend that shares a love for original art :-). Nice page Chris!

What a rad pose Aparo put Aquaman in! His work never looked better than when he inked himself. Kudos, Chris!
