Great question - and I should have spoken to it in my description. The lettering is done by hand directly onto the art!
That's an interesting thought - I wonder if McGinnis had seen any of Wright's work as he ascended in the world of book covers and movie posters? Hmmm...off to do some quick research on that :)
Good. Lord. That is a visually daunting page - but once you settle in, it's amazing to take it in character by character!
