Supergirl Prelim 06

Admittedly it's been a while, but here is the latest update on my Supergirl cosplay portrait project. If you will note, the larger image of my client as Kara Danvers is not using any solid black ink lines. Rather, I decided to distinguish that part of the page from the central character in the middle by switching graphic pens for Prismacolor Verithin Pencil Crayons to give it a softness. With the addition of E0000, I've solved the flesh tone problem. For her top, I used Cool Gray 1, 3, 5, and 9, with Prismacolor Cool Gray 70% Verithin. What I like is the watercolor appearance I achieved on the front of the top. For her hair, I used Y11, Y13, Y28, Verithin Black and Dark Brown. I also threw in some R00 and R20 to put a touch of rose to her cheeks. For Supergirl herself, her cape, skirt, and boots were rendered with a combination of R05, R24, R27, R46, R37, and R39. I'm not sure if I'm done with her back leg, though. It will be a matter of judging how much detail would go in to a limb moving away from the viewer's eye. Regardless, I'm really excited about how well this is turning out. More as it develops. Up, up, and away.
