I love pencils so finished that they can go straight to coloring. Or just stay black and white! And grey, more to the point. I was awed by the stacks and stacks of high-quality material that Federici brought to Lake Como Comic Art Festival.

This Mark Waid story was part of the "Dawn of DC" era. It finds Batman wounded, and Robin (Damian Wayne) taking center stage to warn the heroes about the latest threat to the world -- namely, King Fire Bull and his volcano on Lazarus Island.
