Description

This gritty take on JSA member Doctor Fate seems more inspired by Hellblazer, with a tough mystical adventurer whose dead arm can only be used when wrapped in a magic cloak. Giffen's Muñoz-inspired art style is on full display here.

Great signature artistry of Giffen. No one quite like him working in the superhero genre. That center panel is so amusing with the block of foreground shadow to cut down a big part of the panel in black and makes us focus more to find the big bug on the suit.
