DescriptionThroughout history, there have been strong women figures, tough women figures, resilient women figures, and enduring women figures. Tina Turner not only possessed these qualities, she also epitomized them. She was a pioneer, a survivor, a global superstar, an icon, and now a legend. What makes a vocalist stand out from the rest is having a voice that is instantly recognizable. She had that and more. Hell, even her speaking voice was unmistakable. On stage, it seemed as if she had batteries that would never quit. As far as entertainers go, she was a force of nature. She leaves behind an amazing musical legacy. My condolences to her family, and my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who is affected by her passing. Now that the Queen of Rock and Roll has joined the Queen of Soul in the afterlife, that’s going to be one heck of a double bill up there.Social/Sharing |

Hear hear. A true Legend, Simply The Best
Damn, I KNEW I left something out in my description. Simply the best is right. You took the words right out of my mouth.

I think he took them out of hers. Poor Tina. Always had a soft spot for her unique voice.

Another lovely tribute, Eric. Thank you for that. Such a legend, such a survivor & role model, such a musician! For me, she's the reason Mad Max: Beyond The Thunderdome is still one of my favorite movies. I'm listening to her music right now. RIP, Tina.

The timing is so odd, because she had been on my mind a lot in recent weeks. I just watched Thunderdome a couple of weeks back. And recently I watched a Bryan Adams interview on TV where he talked about his great duet with Tina on IT'S ONLY LOVE. Might spend tonight playing some of her classic vids on YouTube and then capping off the night with another viewing of Thunderdome. Thanks for the comment buddy.
