DescriptionOstrander was central to my 80s comics obsession. His run on Suicide Squad kicked off about 15 years of me following him to multiple titles.This page shows why. His stories moved but were also dense. He pulled off something that almost no one else has done since - a legit superhero spy book. A huge part of the book's success in the first two years was McDonnell's pencils. Coming off of JLDetroit, I am sure he enjoyed the more grounded world of the Squad. Bob Lewis did a great job enhancing what Luke did so well. I picked up this pece from Seth at the spring 2023 Comic Art Live. Social/Sharing |
