DescriptionSo, over the past month or so some of you may have wondered why I put up certain pieces from my collection for sale. I made some great pieces available for the first time by Alan Davis and Bill Willingham, among others. Now it can be told, I was finally able to get onto Alan's commission list! I was initially going to ask for a single character, then I got inspired by some of the more elaborate pieces that Alan was doing for other collectors! I reasoned that if I only ever got one shot at a commission from Alan what would be my dream piece. So, I dreamed big and went for my first comic love, an Avengers piece! Figuring a Cosmic battle between Thanos and the Avengers Big Three would be Epic! So knowing I couldn't just snap my fingers and afford such a lavish piece, I decided to move a few cherished pages to new loving homes to help finance this dream piece! Thank you to Paul for making this all become a reality, coordinating this whole process! Thank you to Alan for always doing such Incredible work that defies even what we could imagine! And thank you to everyone who purchased pieces from me that helped me acquire this piece!Social/Sharing |

I agree with your decision, Rich. If it's tough to get a commission from a specific artist, my view is that you might as well go all out and get something grand, rather than just a single character piece. Grand slam!

Davis pencils and inks, the big three, and Thanos to boot. What more could you want? Congrats on a killer commish.

You went big and came home with a gem of a piece. What an epic battle scene. Love it.

I like the way Alan draws shell heads helmet. it's almost an evil smile.

IMO, the best compliment you can use to describe a "scene" commission is to say you'd love to read the story behind it & that is 1000% true here. Excelsior!
