Description

This was a nostalgia buy for me as this page was from an early childhood book. I had bought the second issue of Omega the Unknown off the news stand in 1976 as the Hulk guest staring in the book caught my eye for my 25 cents! Back in the mid 70's Marvel was launching a lot of new titles: The Invaders, The Champions, Nova, The Human Fly and Omega the Unknown among other books. And as a comic buying child, I was there for the beginning of each book. Omega was one of the more obscure of the books and the character didn't have much longevity, but still holds fond memories for me. I was surprised to see a page from this actual book come up at auction, probably the first one I've come across. But it was worth going after to fuel my fond memories of the book.

Kudos, Rich, it's always such a gas to get pages from one of the earliest books we ever bought as kids!

Gramps looks like some one who is pretty easy to talk to. Fun page by Mooney who was doing Spidey titles at this time period, so we'd get that same fine touch on his supporting characters.

I am a big fan of nostalgia purchases. Great page from one of my favorite series of the 70s.
