11.25x17" Sparta illustration board has pen and ink original art for cover to Super-Team Family #15, published by DC Comics in April 1978. Art is by José Luis García-López, noted for his work w/DC, and the artist responsible for crafting the overall look for the majority of DC's characters during the late 1970s and 1980s. Cover features The Flash as well as Orion, Lightray and Metron of the New Gods. The story deals w/Darkseid causing his son Orion to grow to immense size, and the only being capable of saving him is The Flash. Cover has title and character logo stat pasteovers as well as DC publishing indicia stats and hand-lettered text block pasteovers. Of note, blue pencil editorial notes at margins request changes to García-López's initial art, w/corrections requested for Metron's head and torso, Flash's boot and Lightray's chest symbol. García-López's signature is pasted stat. Back has DC copyright inkstamp as well as printer's inkstamp. Strip of glue staining along upper left margin (by DC logo) w/some scattered staining to Flash and area around him, to pasted text block at lower right and top right margin. Fine/VF overall.
