DescriptionHad this page forever...and look at it all the time. I adore both artists.Al Williamson and Frank Frazetta Weird Science #22 "A New Beginning", which features a young couple who go back in time to repopulate Earth. Of course, they are named Adam and Eve, right? This very well-known story has many very talented people credited with inks, including both Al Williamson and Frank Frazetta, but also Bernie Krigstein and Roy KrenkelSocial/Sharing |

So pretty! The inks are sweet and the brush licks the page in just a soft and smooth controlled manner.

Which bits were done by Krigstein? I can easily see the parts that were worked on by the others. As a character in a book I wrote said, "enlighten us, o enlightened one." Did Krigstein work on other pages and not this one?

Super cool page! Very historic EC page. It truly does show the hand of all 4 artists (and maybe Wood too?). The legend with this story is that after Williamson penciled it (pencil assist by Krenkel on the machinery), it was assigned to Krigstein to ink. Apparently Williamson did not care for Krigstein's inking so he got his Fleagle pals to help him redo some of the art, especially replacing panels with the girl & man's faces. On this page look like the first 3 panels remain inked by Krigstein. The 4th panel looks like Williamson/Fritz (+possibly Wood?) to me and the 5th panel standing figure is clearly Williamson/Frazetta. 6th panel of the girl's face is clearly Frazetta inks. Final panel appears untouched.
