Joe Mad work is not the easiest thing to get ahold of and being a big Excalibur fan I was over the moon to get this cover a few years ago at auction. Very happy indeed. I now have a nice Alan Davis Excalibur cover and this one. Always happy to add more but given todays prices I may have to wait a while!

It's cool seeing Joe Mad's art from this time as you can see him rounding out into his own style. Those manga influences are there but kinda married with the '90s house look. Then, he went full tilt with this look later. Lotsa characters featured here, highlighted by a killer shot of Corsair! Congrats!

This one goes way back! I saw a deal go down with this in exchange to a dealer for an older painting. I told him to go for it because this is easier to move since Joe Mad was the hot thing at the time even if this was earlier than his X-Men run. Still spectacular.

Love seeing early Joe Mad art. I didn't pay enough attention to his Excalibur work, but there are some real gems in there based on the art that's shown up. Congrats on landing a cover!

Such a great cover. Love Excalibur and Mad's 'crawler is amazing! I was really hoping to snag this cover when it was auctioned, but it slipped by.
