Description

Large painting - paint on thick board - by Frank Haseler (1928-1996). This one appeared on the cover of the UK publication Woman's Weekly Library #1136 to illustrate the novel 'Island Affair' by Hettie Grimstead.

There are several other publication titles on the back of the piece indicating that it may also have been used elsewhere.

Nice gothic flavour with ghostly figure just about visible in the background. The guy has an annoyingly pointy chin.
