DescriptionI like how Richard gave Mera longer fins like those used by free divers. Richard was excited to tell me that Howard Chaykin put him onto these custom made rubber stamps. Modern technology employs lasers to make these stamps, you provide an image file ( e.g. a .jpg ). No screentones ( e.g. Zipatone ) were used. Repeatedly stamping the same area created darker tones. Richard was really into these stamps and was going to create more. He masked off the white areas using blue painter's tape and Post-It Notes ( insert 3M sponsorship here ), that's what he had handy at the convention. Mera was created by Jack Miller and Nick Cardy. Love the use of stamps to get that zip effect. Great piece!

Wonderful balance to the piece! The untouched area holds its own by the brightness against all the scratches and shaded stamped tones.
