Description

Here's one of the very best pages of the Englehart/Rogers/Austin run! Batman is in the lower right with a full-body pose with a bagged criminal. Ink over graphite with shading film on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15". Text paste-up correction in the second panel, some light edge and handling wear. Signed by Marshall in lower left and in Excellent condition.

What a great example of The Batman by one of the great all time teams of Rogers and Austin. That lower panel is to die for. Congrats on this one and thanks for sharing.

Wonderfully elegant work with Austin's inks that bring a classic crime noir feel to the Rogers pencils The effort put into creating the many shades of shadows is old school dedication and talent rising to the challenge. They affect mood and atmosphere in support of the narrative.
