Description

So after interviewing Hart D Fisher the founder of Boneyard Press I wanted a piece of art that was identifiable as part of that publishing house's history. While digging through his boxes of art I came across this piece. This is the original art for what became the logo of Boneyard Press and was printed on many of the issues on the front and back covers of their comics. So it seemed a fitting piece to represent the history of Boneyard Press. Glad to have it.

This was drawn/inked by Hart D. Fisher and was inspired by a pulitzer winning photograph.

Cool piece of comics history as the logo was mocking those who would try to do them in, but Boneyard wears it as a badge!

Yeah I thought it was a neat piece. Especially since it was published on so many issues and I will say it does have some power to the logo's imagery. It's my first piece of original art more in the promo/production end of things but since my goal was to get a piece representative of boneyard press as a publishing entitiy, I think I picked the right one.
