Ron Lim - JONAH HEX

Jonah Hex by the one and only Ron Lim.

The third of four pieces I brought back from SDCC. I was not expecting to get a sketch from Mr. Lim. I've been going to San Diego for years and I've never seen Ron sketching to my recollection. I've always wanted a Jonah hex from him. I even inquired about a commission maybe four years ago. He said he wasn't taking any at the moment. I mentioned the character, Jonah Hex, and his face lit up. He said he loved Jonah Hex and it would be cool to do. He thought about it for a moment but said he didn't have the time. Almost had it!! Lol


I went to his table in artist alley on Friday, with the intention of just saying Hi. To my surprise he was taking sketch requests. It was late Friday, I figured I didn't have a chance, his list would be full. Nope. He was still taking them. I reminded him about Jonah Hex. His face lit up again! He asked if I wanted something specific. I said nope! Draw him however you see him. He said cool. He'd have it done by tomorrow.


It was ready by Saturday as promised. He said he had a blast doing it and that it was a nice break from doing Silver Surfer and Thanos. Already setup the next one. Looking forward to it.
