Description
Johnny Bruck was notorious for "borrowing" ideas and compositions from other artists. He was forced to work so fast he had to rely heavily on published references, often doing mash-ups from several artists (even using photo cut-outs). These mash-ups can be quite fun!

This Bruck cover from 1964 was heavily inspired by Valigursky's Ace cover for The Green Queen (see additional images). Since I own The Green Queen, I thought it would be cool to own the Bruck "homage" as well!

This piece was also used as the cover for the L. Sprague de Camp book A Gun for Dinosaur (Curtis Books, 1969).

Really cool!  These guys crash their space ship into the creature's home and then start waving their guns around.  Seems like these are pretty hostile invaders that need to be taught a lesson.

Ha!  Yes, the creature was probably hibernating and being all chill  until these space jerks crashed into his home!
