The Byrne layout was so cool as it perfectly puts focus on the main character, but gave us the power balance of the rest of the X-Men trying to stop her from the back cover. Booth adds that incredible level of modern energy to the piece! The flames and Dark Phoenix somehow look more vicious!

Always loved this cover layout, and Brett's redraw really fills in the detail that his style is known for.
