Love Grummets art! Spot on for anatomy and story telling. One of my favorites, especially when he was with Kesel on Superboy.

Hello Ruben!,

So I checked with Ethan personally on this piece. He said this was in fact a privately commissioned piece but the collector felt the floating head was a little to graphic. Ethan drew the head back on the body and covered the floating head with the title banner.

From what I understand, they would not publish the floating head so he had to keep the head on the body for the published piece. Maybe he was intending to remove the head from the body with computer retouching or even whiting it out?
