The cover works by Frank Frazetta for his versions of these books have set records at auction including Dark Kingdom (Dark Crusade) which sold at auction for $6 Million USD in 2023.

It was purchased directly from Chris Achilleos by book writer Karl Edward Wagner himself, and was lovingly kept in his collection until his passing in 1994. In the alternate picture you can see it hanging in his writing space above his typewriter a couple years before he passed away. Picture courtesy of The Lone Wolf, a movie on the life and works of Karl Edward Wagner.

The oil painting measures an impressive 30" x 20" and is done on canvas, and it is framed to a size of 35" x 25". It is signed in the lower right corner and is in excellent condition.

What a keeper! As a big fan of Karl Edward Wagners writing and Achilleos artwork, this is about as good as it gets.
