High Heels ** Comic & Pinup illustrator Drew Posada, 2000 with ORIGINAL DRAWING (NSFW)

Extremely rare limited edition of late Drew Posada "High Heels", 2000 with full pin-up original drawing. This is a rare GICLEE 14/50 on Heavy Rag paper as seen in "The Art of Drew Posada" well documented on pages 24-25. It includes a beautiful original pencil drawing for a special collector (known as a Remarque). Sadly the art world lost a great talent in 2007. Drew Posada was a pioneering digital colourists and his rich, exotically themed pin-up art reflected his earlier comic book work. Giclee is approx 18.25" x 32". This was a commission of Robert Bane and done by drew from homage reference sketch by illustrator Sam Liu. Also published on back cover of Drew Posada - Art Premiere #3

Boy was he right....We are caught in the digital wave now. Also Mr. Bane has stated these extremely expensive giclee artworks were printed ONLY on demand he therefore does not believe ANY of the editions went beyond 15. Some much less. So there are probably no more that about 15 in existence. Of those he doesn't know if any other were remarqued of this edition. Email me for best images.

Drew has publicly stated Olivia De Berardinis and Sorayama as influences. He was an amazing colorist.

"In 1994 I was flown down from Seattle to San Diego to try out for a job as an illustrator at Image Comics. They hired me immediately and I worked for quite a few studios within Image; Top Cow, Wildstorm and Extreme. This is where I learned how to paint in Photoshop. It worked exactly like a real airbrush and was a lot easier to make changes to my pinups. I started showing submissions to the Tamara Bane Gallery in 1996, but I still needed to raise the calibre on my work. I kept trying until I finally thought I had it down, and the rest is history."
