Description

I had a studio across the hall from Adam who is an incredible figure sculptor. Early on he was sculpting figures for Macfarlane Toys and then went on to sculpting some larger scale figures and scenes including Johnny Cash, David Bowie (from Labyrinth), Superman and Star Wars scenes and a portrait of Obama for Esquire magazine. This piece was something he made to show what he could do with the sculpting wax he invented called Cx5. The wire base is something I made to display it. Originally this was made with an extra lock of hair that came down over her forehead, I never got him to add it for me before he moved away.

VERY nice.

I found Adam's art online and tried to get some of his sculpts, but he wasn't selling.

Thanks, he's a good guy, I'm lucky enough to be friends with him (though I haven't seen him in a long time) that's probably the only reason I got one of these.

The hairstyle may look like it has taken more work, but the face is pretty unique and far from the typical hollywood headshot artists would sculpt.
