15-1/8x26" Masonite board w/mixed media original art for front cover to VHS cassette box for 1987 release of Cecil B. Demille's 1923 silent religious epic starring Theodore Roberts as Moses. Art was created by noted illustrator Charles David de Mar, an artist known for his fine art film illustrations, which were occasionally utilized for home media release such as the one offered here. de Mar depicts Moses raising The Ten Commandments in one hand and holding onto the Pharaoh's wife's hand w/the other. de Mar's signature appears at lower right and the artist has also boldly inked his name on back of board along w/"Oct. 1986" date. Art has acetate and two heavily aged vellum overlays (which show moderate edge wear) attached at top. Art displays Exc.
