Description
Bernard Cosendai aka Cosey is a Swiss artist whose work I was introduced to on my first trip to the Angouleme Comic Festival in France. He was treated to a great exhibition after winning the Grand Prix the prior year. I was taken by his work and have since become a fan and have been on the lookout for a page for a few years now that had the content I wanted. This one did all of that as it has Jonathan, a girl, a motorcycle and an Asian setting. The added weight of politics and the repression adds another layer of depth to this piece.

From the Daniel Maghen Auction in November 2023. Here is the description from the auction listing.

His art should never be colored, clearly.

Such a nice page. I was browsing the Cosey Angoulême catalogue over christmas and was – as always – stunned by the vísual impact of his b&w artwork and originals. Great artist!
