Description

Earth X pages are getting rarer to come on market so I pick up what I can. Floated around this page for literally years and finally decided to just pick it up. The art may seem simple but it depicts a powerful moment...Namor killing Johnny Storm leading to Franklin Richard's causing him to permanently burn on half his body. This moment also leads to the death of Sue Richard's and some important moments/motivations of characters in the story.

Also depicted is the back of Capt America and the Fantastic Four...now three...soon two....

That Johnny Storm face in panel two under the flames is great brushwork by Reinhold!  I wonder how Leon left the pencils to inform him to use that technique.

Yeah, its good stuff and the killing intent in the eyes of Namor on panel 4.  Plus I love the text from that panel which is coming from The Thing who was remembering the moment and said...

"Johnny, that stupid hot head...I loved that kid.  Ev'n today I can't firget that noise he made."
