Description
I have been casually looking for a sweet piece by Fortunino Matania - during November CAL, I was able to find and acquire this beauty as part of a trade.

Thanks to Jeff Singh for a super easy deal and transaction - well, USPS was not so great on speed on my shipment to Jeff but this piece arrived super-fast from Canada.

From Wikipedia on FM:
Generally he managed to include one or two voluptuous nudes in each picture. "The public demanded it," says Matania. "If there was no nude, then the editor or I would get a shower of letters from readers asking politely why not."

This piece is of Princess Caraboo - an interesting story that was made into a 1994 film with Phoebe Cates playing the 'Princess'. Art was used as the back cover of "Fortunino Matania Portfolio Volume 1" from Book Palace (see additional image)

Trades can be win-win in this hobby!

This is deeper than any nipple, posterior view, or material for getting folks of the period hot under the collar in a neo classical manner. Read my reading of it.

Let me guess...You were inspired to get this for the nottie on the right rather than the hottie on the left. The illustration clearly being a life lesson as shes telling the lady on the left that soon people will be politely asking her to cover up too, thus explaining why shes handing the item to said lady. Who said CAF was not an educational forum....

Lovely piece. Matania was a wonderful artist and illustrator. I'm lucky that I have a couple of pieces by him.

It's a beautiful night, we're looking for Matania nudes
Hey Levy, I think you wanna Caraboo
Is it the look in her hind or is it this CAF pursuit?
Who cares, Levy, I think of Princess Caraboo

Well, I know this Mary Baker in the nudie art folio

Who cares if she's clothed, send a shipment trade and cash from the show
Shot of control for illo, girl

Don't say no, no, no, no, no
Just trade yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

It is a very special Matania and the story of the character adds another layer to it.  I am glad I can revisit it here in your gallery.
