DescriptionPublished March 12 1966 by IPCRanger was a British weekly comic magazine Rip Solar was an Inter-Planetary Investigator and the Strip ran from 19 February to 30 April 1966. The strip was actually repurposed from another science fiction strip, Captain Condor. Captain Condor was created by Frank S. Pepper and Ron Forbes as a rival to Dan Dare and debuted in Lion weekly magazine in 23 February 1956. For the episode 'Planet of Destruction' beginning in 11 June 1960, Geoff Campion was the artist. This episode was repurposed to the Rip Solar adventure. The fifteen (2 page) episodes were condensed to 11 (2 page) episodes and the art was also re lettered. Geoff campion was a British artist who is known for the adventure strips he drew for the weekly British magazines. Social/Sharing |

Interesting looking Science Fiction strip. It's crazy how they did the lettering. Looks like they used a typewriter!

It probably was a typewriter. You can tell it was pasted up.
