DescriptionLately, I have been on a quest for works by the "old masters". This is an Alex Raymond Flash Gordon Sunday Comic Strips from 24 April 1938 and features a Jailbreak! Nice shots of Flash and Zarkov and an amazing portrait of the murderous Ruduk.I also received the Jungle Jim topper for Flash for this date. It is in another post. Both strips were rendered in ink over graphite on two separate illustration boards. They have a combined image area of 21.5" x 27.5", and both strips are signed. Social/Sharing |

A lovely Raymond Flash with a rendering style that Raymond seemed to rely upon for only a brief period.
