Description
This daily takes place after the full gravity of Normandie's disappearance settles in a few days after the last daily I posted. The last panel is priceless and was one of my friends John's favorite daily because of the last panel. Caniff was a genius at storytelling and used certain panel designs like punctuation marks. Lovely wash on this one too. This is how a new adventure began that would lead to the introduction of Burma. The return of Normadie is also a great story line but that comes later!

The last panel kind of mirrors that last strip's last panel.  Only the light in the room is now gone and the there the man in the shadow finds himself without a purpose.

Artistically, this daily is all about that last panel, for certain, but I love the dialogue, too.

Definitely a punctuation mark Jeff! From the lunar effect reference in the second panel to the weight of Pat's anguish under that glorious full moon in panel four, this is one beautiful daily!

This is a very moving strip. Caniff really knew what he was doing
