Adam Eterno was created by by Jack Le Grand and Tom Tully and first drawn by Tom Kerr.
He debuted in the British weekly Thunder on October 17th 1970.
He was an assistant to an alchemist in the 16th century who drank the Elixir of Life that his master had concocted. It gave him eternal life and invulnerability. An accident propelled through time where his adventures would play out before he would be propelled to another time.
The strip ran until October 1976 moving unto Lion weekly when Thunder merged with Lion and finally ending up in Valiant weekly.

Francisco Solano López took over the art duties from Tom Kerr and was the main artist on his run. Solano López was an Argentine artist. He started his career in the early 1950s with Columbia publishers in Buenos Aires. His early work includes 'Perico y Guillerma'. He then began an association with Abril publishers, where he illustrated a comic adaptation of Jack London's 'Friso Kid'. he also illustrated several series written by Hector German Oesterheld, such as 'Bull Rocket', 'Pablo Maran' and 'Uma-Uma'.
In 1957 Solano Lopez and Oesterheld created the science fiction saga 'El Eternauta'. The strip's thinly veiled political commentary came to the notice of the authorities and Solano López had to flee to Spain. In 1959 he started working for Fleetway on various series including 'Adam Eterno', 'Kelly's Eye', 'Janus Stark' and 'Master of the Marsh'.
