Hmm... I guess I won't be entering a cover in Best Of this year after all now that you dropped this Masterpiece. Glorious! My favorite of his run so far and they are all bangers.
All them hes of green...so tough to pull off. Love how it's all rendered with the green lighting. Congrats!

Was this piece even included in a Felix drop? Seemed it was withheld despite being shown in a teaser the previous day. I picked up the Scorched cover (which I wanted most) but thought it off that the Spawn piece wasn't offered in the drop. Maybe I just missed it?

Outstanding cover for Spawn 343 by the great Chris Stevens. Stevens is a master with color, so it's not surprising that this cover has such a vibrant, though limited, color palette. Here, Spawn is pausing on a church rooftop to draw in necroplasm to aid him in battle. The necroplasm glows green as he drinks in its power, getting stronger every second. I love the way the whole scene--Spawn, the church roof, the angel statues, everything--is lit by the glow of the necroplasm. It's a powerful cover, which is not surprising when you consider all the fabulous paintings Chris Stevens has done. Just a great pick-up, congrats!

If I hadn't have gotten this one, I'd have picked up the King Spawn page. So many beautiful colors on that piece. Glad to hear it went to a good home!
