Odin Pin-up - Charles Vess Marvel Fanfare 1983

Charles Vess Odin pin-up published in Marvel Fanfare #20. The issue had a number of Vess Thor/Asgardian pin-ups unrelated to the issue. Signed 1983 on the piece, Fanfare #20 was published in 1985

Interesting perspective, great composition. A definite mythological feel with Odin and his Raven. I love Vess's take on it, veering a bit away from the Marvel depiction at the time.
Line-work, beard-work, eyepatch-work, the marbled throne - I love it all from Vess. Glad to this in my collection!
