This piece was difficult for me. I wanted to give an explosive background that would stand out. I also wanted to have a variety of colors that made sense. From the wood to the explosion I wanted to add power to the scene.

Those browns and oranges were a big part of the 70's color aesthetics. Its shaded to be a dark piece in the first place with that large foreground.
