Description

It�s pretty clear from my gallery that I�m enamored with Yale Stewart�s JL8. Even though it�s not published, his clean style, storytelling sensibilities and understanding of who these characters are at their core makes JL8 a notch above pretty much everything else I read.

Unfortunately, new JL8 strips have been pretty sparse the last couple of years. To fill the void recently, he�s drawn a number of done-in-one vignettes he dubbed JL8 Mini Mondays.

This one was the first in the series and it�s a perfect example of everything I mentioned above. While there�s not much action on the page, each character�s personality still shines through thanks to Yale�s thoughtful use of facial expressions and body language.

If you could have only one JL8 piece, it would be hard to find a better pick than this one.

Also a big fan of JL8 - and of this Mini of course! Yale's character work really shines through
