Description

This is a fun Among the Folks in History panel by Williams, taking place in 1893 in Chicago. The exposition was held to commemorate Christopher Columbus' discovery of the New World in 1492. The drawing is typically wonderful stuff by the great ink-slinger. May 30, 1929.

Hard to wrap your head around all these dates, but it is probably the quite educational for them to look back 30 years much like we look back at a world cultural event in the 90's. A few months before the great depression, so there was still a lot of optimism and curiosity about the rest of the world.
