DescriptionCameron Stewart“Death & Delirium II” 2024 11” x 17” Pencil on paper This one was a journey. A few years back I saw this awesome pencil piece that Cameron did of Death for a charity auction. I was on tilt from missing out on something else and I went pretty hard to try to get the auction piece off the guy who won it. I didn't get it. So I reached out to Cameron directly and set up a commission of Death and Delirium that I was hoping would be even better than the auction piece. Cameron was down. The price was solid. He said he would turn it around in two weeks, but to not pay him until it was done. We talked every few weeks for the next few months, but things must have come up because Cameron never got around to the piece. I hadn't paid him, so not a big deal. I end up with another Cameron piece of Death, but that one has some damage on it. The dealer makes it right, but we all know that kind of thing can make us cool on a piece. Time passes and I end up with the original auction piece I had loved. I figure that's where the story ends...until Comic Art Live in the fall. Splash Page lists a commission opportunity for Cameron. Even though the exact option I was looking for wasn't available, Mark and Cameron were awesome and took on the commission anyway. The price was only slightly higher than what we had originally arranged years ago. I'm really excited...and then the piece Cameron delivers is wonderful, but not what I had asked for and smaller than we had agreed. Mark and Cameron were super responsive and apologetic. They offered me all sorts of generous options to fix the issue, but the reality was Cameron had delivered a great piece and I would have gladly bought it anyway. We work out a second commission that Cameron quickly delivers on and I end up with this gem which was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Cameron and Mark were great throughout the process and I can't wait to get this gem framed and on my wall. Social/Sharing |

Very nice. This is probably my favorite piece I've seen from Cameron.

A lot different than his pen and ink style with a full level of detail in the pencils.

As much as I like his ink work, I specifically asked for pencil only because I love how his pencil work comes out.
